Easter Big Breakfast     posted 17/04/2019
Parishioners are invited to attend an 'Easter Big Breakfast' at our parochial parnters, Mullaglass,
on Easter Sunday morning from 8.00am to 9.45am.  All proceeds are in aid of CMSI.
Please be encouraged to support this very worthwhile fund raiser.



Holy Baptism     posted 31/03/2019
This morning we had the privilege of receiving Ollie Jim Murphy into the family
of our church with his Sacrament of Holy Baptism.  We look forward to seeing Ollie
grow up with us and we extend our best wishes and congratulations to Ollie's parents,
Richard and Nicola and the wider family circle.




Road Works     posted 28/03/2019
We have been informed that in order to facilitate the laying of a mains gas pipe line in the local area,
a lane closure will be in effect on the Convent Hill in the vicinity of our church from Monday 1st April.
This is expected to last for a number of weeks with the nearby Ballinabee Road closed for a period of
up to 10 weeks.  

Parishioners or friends visiting our church or churchyard during these works should be aware that a
traffic light control system will be in place.  The contractors have also assured us that their fullest
repsect will be given to our services and that no works will interfere with our service timetable.



Youth Club     posted 21/03/2019
Our Junior Youth Club members enjoyed another very successful year which ended with a
visit to FunHouse Indoor Adventure Playground in Newry.  Our thanks and best wishes are
conveyed to all parents and supervisors who supported the children this term.



Sunday School Lenten Project 2019     posted 25/01/2019
This year our Sunday School pupils and teachers will be supporting the annual CMS Ireland 
Children's Resource as their Lenten Project.  This year CMSI have 'Outside In' as their theme,

Youth Club     posted 25/01/2019
On Tuesday 22nd January, the Youth Club had a special activity night with the popular 'Jumping Clay'
visiting our Parish Hall.  The young members enjoyed this craft event and their imagination was a 
joy to everyone as they produced some amazing skills with their clay pieces,  The Youth Club wish
to acknowledge the support of the staff of Jumping Clay.



Confirmation 2019     posted 20/01/2019
Rev Alan Synnott has advised that our parochial group Confirmation Service will be conducted by
His Grace, The Most Rev Dr Richard Clarke, Archbishop of Armagh in Christ Church, Bessbrook
on Thursday 13th June 2019 at 7.30pm.

A series of classes will commence in February, with an Open Night for candidates and their parents or
guardians scheduled for Bessbrook Parish Hall on Thursday 31st January at 7.30pm.  Anyone, aged 13 years,
or above by this spring, or indeed any adult, seeking Cofirmation should contact Rev Synnott directly.



Parish Reader Commissioning     posted 15/01/2019
Six Parish Readers will be Commissioned in St Patrick's Cathedral, Armagh on Sunday 20th January 2019 at 3.15 p.m,
including Mr Mervyn Briggs of Mullaglass Parish.  We wish Mervyn God's richest blessings with this commitment
to parish life and look forward to sharing in his ministry in the future.
 



Pantomime Visit     posted 11/01/2019
Members of our Sunday School will be attending Newry Town Hall on Wednesday 23rd January
to enjoy the annual panto, this year based on 'Aladdin'.  Parents are requested to drop off their children
at Newry Town Hall for 7.00pm.  Collection time will be advised on arrival.  Refreshments will be supplied.
This event requires a signed 'Parental Consent Form' which are available from the Sunday School Superintedent
and must be completed before any child can attend.
